Plastic Injection
Injection Molding is the process of injecting plastic into an aluminum or steel mold to form the needed part, which is a manufacturing process for producing parts in large volume. It is most typically used in mass-production processes where the same part is being created thousands or even millions of times in succession. Injection molding is a great process for low and high volume manufacturing. It is widely used in the medical, automotive, industrial, construction and consumer product industries.
The principal advantage of injection molding is the ability to scale production en masse. Once the initial costs have been paid the price per unit during injection molded manufacturing is extremely low. The price also tends to drop drastically as more parts are produced.
It has the ability to use a wide range of materials, as belows
ABS
Nylon
Polycarbonate
Ultem
Polypropylene
Acetal
Nylon
And many more
